PROBLEM!!!! My husband passed away Feb. 14. I am the executor and beneficiary of the estate. He had RRsp's (SDRSP, and 3 GIC's} and I am the beneficiary of all. The bank accounts were joint and that has been taken care of. The RRSP's have been the problem. Why haven't they just been rolled over into my name? I started to clear up the estate the end of February and I am still waiting as there has been a "screwup" mainly someone back east wanted to cash the RRSP's and put them into my account. This is not acceptable. Why can't they be put them in my name? Also, I received the death benefit check made out to the Estate of 脟arl Malott and I am told by a bank official that I cannot cash it. Other people say of course I can cash it. I am not a happy client of the TD Canada Trust bank at this point. HELP ME PLEASE..
